JEFF A.R. JONES (Fight Director, Intimacy Director, Movement Specialist; Adjunct Faculty, Elon University, William Peace University) has worked professionally as a Fight Director for over 25 years and as an Intimacy Director for 10 years. He has also served as a Movement Coach for productions and Movement Specialist for training and classes. As a Fight Director, he has staged fights for ballet, dance, theatre, opera, film, and television over the past 25+ years at theatres including Playmakers Repertory Company, Virginia Stage Company, Carolina Ballet, North Carolina Opera, Virginia Opera, Illinois Opera, Playhouse on the Square, ManBitesDog, Burning Coal Theatre Company, North Carolina Theatre, Duke University, UNC-Wilmington, Elon, University, William Peace University, and Meredith College. He has taught classes at Florida State, Asolo Conservatory, Duke University, UNC Professional Actor Training Program, and is currently faculty at Elon University and William Peace University. He holds the titles of Fight Director, Certified Teacher, and Instructor of Theatrical Firearms with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). As an Intimacy Director, Mr. Jones is a Certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC), having trained with them as well as Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE) and Intimacy Coordinators of Color (ICOC). Mr. Jones has taught movement classes at Elon University as well as privately and has served as a movement coach on many shows. Mr. Jones has a Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University.

JEFF A.R. JONES (Resident Designer, Carolina Ballet; Adjunct Faculty, Elon University, William Peace University) has served as Resident Designer for Carolina Ballet since its beginning over 25 years ago where he designed sets and/or costumes for many of the company's original works beginning with the company’s first new work, Dancers in a Gypsy Style, and continuing with such shows as Messiah, The Kreutzer Sonata, Carmen, Cabaret and Des Images. He created the scenery for Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Macbeth, Frankenstein, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird, Tempest Fantasy, Dracula and The Little Mermaid among many others. He has designed throughout the southeast at theatres including North Carolina Opera, Playhouse on the Square, Florida Studio Theatre, Asolo Conservatory Theatre, and TheatreWorks as well as at William Peace University and Meredith College. Favorite designs include Frankenstein, Macbeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hair, The Wild Party, Messiah, Nothing Sacred, More Fun Than Bowling, and Godspell. He has also taught classes in Technical Theatre, Props Design and Construction, and Stage Makeup at Elon University, William Peace University, and Florida State University. Mr. Jones has a Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University.
